PWJ
ROUND 6 - Saturday February 17 We start the day at Ellerslie with a couple of interesting open handicaps and then a trio of stakes races which look wide open. Then we are on the plane to Melbourne for a race for the girls choc full of chances. After that a small but talented field to unpick in Sydney in the Expressway then we are back at Flemington for a race for the rising star lads in the CS Hayes followed by the Black Caviar bullrush charge down the Flemington straight where great money will be found outside hottie Imperatriz. That all-important final race sees us back at Randwick where nearly all 13 starters have winning form in a race for the young girls - some serious study needed there where 10 of 13 runners are fresh-up. The big match of the day looks to be the 2nd vs 3rd battle between Magic and Old Mate. Team top scorers Anita and Black Caviar (omen??) - both Magnificent Seven members - find themselves meeting HTH in what should be a close tussle. The Reapers are the latest team looking to take down the comp leaders - Styx - and after a spectacular recapturing of form last week will fancy themselves to knock off the top dogs. Plenty of juicy HTHs in that one where Hesi has the unenviable task of taking on comp top scorer Gordy. Kaos are odds on favourites to brandish a joker when they meet the calamitous Max Factory crew and I expect plenty of mouthing off especially in that MC vs LB clash not to mention the clash of the girls Barb and Sasha a fascinating match-up. Lastly the luckless Seagulls take on the show ponies of Showtime where it is hard to pick a winner despite the 7 point gap. The Craig v Maurice clash looks a close one with this pair separated by a mere $1.20 in aggregate ! I suspect this will be a Joker double-header... Seven competitors are in great form going into this with 4-1 results thus far in the comp but it is once again Barb and Graeme seeking to find that winning way at last against Sasha and Maria respectively. Remember you must have at least 6 different picks (of 20) for those who post after their opponent Please post on time. Let's have some fun and note the closing time... Close off at 12.00 midday (NZ time) Races are: 1. Ellerslie R2 - 1.00pm - Bentleys Chartered Accountants 1200 - $65k, 1200m, open hdcp 2. Howard Atkinson
Styx v Reapers Howie v Secret Squirrel R1) 2-5 R2) 1-9 R3) 7-12 R4) 5-15 Best Bet - New Zealand R5) 10-13 R6) 2-10 R7) 3-4 Best Bet - Australia R8) 1-2 R9) 1-8 R10) 1-7 Styx looking to stay at the top-of-the-tree, as the Reapers begin to emerge from the undergrowth with a better performance last week. They're not completely out of things. Actually could be surprisingly close here, meaning we're keeping our remaining Joker in its holster ready to play in the final round against the factory workers. Some very, very good horses running around in comp races this Saturday, so will be enjoying the watch. Good luck, Secret Squirrel. I ain't topped 200 in 5 outings this season, so my 4-1 record is very, very deceptive. You would have every reason to fancy your chances in our match-up. I hope you're studying hard, Hesi. THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN 2147.60 Gordy (Styx) (4/1) is a-comin' for ya ! 😁
Hesi
Bearing in mind that any team can beat any other team on the day, it would still be foolish to play our joker against the top team. Better to hold it for Round 7 against the Seagulls who are not firing, YET

Hesi
No, it's a team game and you guys are 2 points from 5 rounds with a triple joker played, but there is still a long way to go and you guys can easily make the final playoffs.
