-No one got the final winner although all 5 Creekers had the runner-up. The Puppet Masters had it won before the last and bagged 12 points from their Triple Joker play with Ian Man of the Match with 4 winners while Lightning Blue was Schitt's Creek MVP. The Masters took two bonus points (converted to 6) from the 5-zip margin.

Sunrise Ruby came so close to turning the match around for Heather and The Reapers but the Canberra flyer - which no one tipped - proved the killer. So More Moet held on to win. Captain Max was Man of the Match edging Reapers' MVP Smiler by $1. No bonus points were earned in a very low-scoring match.

2 Ramones (3rd)

$1169.80

1 point

The Ramones needed quinella in the last never looked like happening but they did the next best thing taking a consolation bonus point for a higher aggregate as Gary found Dale destroyer to demolish the scorer and deny the Wombats 3 vital points ! Well done Gazza ! The Wombats at least turned their form around and won reaping 6 points from their Triple Joker play. Gary was Man of the Match by a mile with Judas MVP for the victors. Moose tipped the first 4 winners and headed back into the bush !

Eye See Things - Drink!'s chance to turn it around, never got into the act so Wolf Pack held on for the win although no one got the final winner. Captain Gordy was Man of the Match while Blind Squirrel was MVP for Drink! who tipped just 4 winners from 100 selections 😣. No bonus points were earned on what was a tough day for most

The Table after ROUND 6

The Puppet Masters masterful Triple Joker play saw them rocket up from 4th to lead the table heading into the final round. The Reapers, Ramones and Schitt's Creek all gave up a place in defeat. The Wily Wombats climbed up 3 places out of the cellar with their successful Triple Joker play pushing Wolf Pack and More Moet - who each won today nevertheless - plus Drink! down a place. Only the teams in red can now win the comp. It looks like a showdown between the Puppet Masters  have used each of  their Jokers while the Reapers still have a regular Joker up their sleeve but if Drink! can pull off a maximum points Triple Joker play they might be able to cause a massive upset.

1st 23 Puppet Masters^* $5760.40

2nd 19 Reapers^ $5539.20

3rd 17 Schitt's Creek *^ $5273.00

Well that was a pretty schitt result for our opponents today, all the same thanks for the match Our Maizcay and the other creekers

I wasn't keen on the races at all today, and advised my team mates I was rolling the dice and playing it next week, however two wise men in Steve and Ray convinced me otherwise, and as it sits Hesi the masterful odds predictor has the two top teams sitting one and two going into the final week

Well done Maxi and your Moet team.  The whole match was like watching paint dry, but 2 points is 2 points

And master stroke Ian, it was always going to happen, well played

All on next week, good luck

Thanks again PJ for the entertainment

Thanks to Pete and Drink for a close contest that could have gone their way at the death.

Pam and Stevie both unlucky, we could easily have won 5-0.

I need to learn when to play jokers as this has been our downfall this comp.

Such a hard day to pick winners in Aussie for just about everyone.

Cheers Reapers. We'll gladly take the points, not that we know what to do with them...

That would have to be the worst Team H2H result Max has ever seen...8 of 10 tipsters didnt get to $100, and the two wot did, didnt get past $200

Appalling.

Time for another Moet....

PJ has subsequently edited, back to the Moet

max is confused and not for the first time (hic) ..wots a regular Joker? (x2, ain't it?) Which would mean that any other Joker is the Triple Joker and you Grimbys have already played that, so wot you've got up yer sleeve is a regular flockin Clown Thingy..huh?

As you say, back to the Moet ...to think that $420 is all we needed to topple the table-toppers.

Someone light another candle ...

Maxi, I am just relieved it’s not Jen or Gee I am up against, but you have always save your best days for me, so looking forward to reversing that trend.

Congrats to the Puppet Masters, couple of inspired selections with Radiant Rosie and Casino Kid, too good for us today

Thanks to my team-mates, worth a crack, didn't come off

Must have been a tough day, i thought our $440 team total was poor but then looked at some other matches and a few teams struggled

WELL well, well. What a miserable day at the races (and outside). Well done Max and team Moet. I've never known such a fruitless day at the races. No excuses. By the way M, that bottle of Moet I had stored for you is empty. The malaise was just too great for me.
