To win-

The Reapers need:

Cascadian to win for Craig and Hesi (must pay $17.50+ or King's Legacy to complete the Q to get Craig home)

The Superiors need:

Buffalo River to win for Steve (can't pay more than $7.50 or Robert will beat Sharne)

OR

Mr Quickie to win for Steve

OR

Rock to win for Punter Pete

Pumped need:

Buffalo River to win for Ziggy and Blind Squirrel (must pay $6.10+ or Rock complete the Q)

Daylight need:

Firstly Pam to beat Max in their deadlock. Pam has Best of Days & King's Legacy while Max has a best bet on Fifty Stars & King's Legacy. Should Pam win then they need-

Rock to win for Ray

Max has a more pleasant scenario unfolding

..I Am Superman wins for Rob and adds $600 to the Maxis' squillions

..Fifty Stars wins for Max, Georgy and Heather adding about $500 (excl Qs) to the Maxisquillions, mebbe a bonus point.

Can't bring  myself to publish the Nightmare Scenario that involves a Rock and a Hard Place LOLOL. Big finish coming up.

That was close, but then it wasn't paying enough.  Well done Blackbookers, too good for us today.

Start sharpening your scythes Reapers, we have the piece de resistance, next week, and they will be smarting after today's joker playing defeat.  Should have saved it for us John. Thanks for another fine effort PJ

Round 13 -  Saturday Oct 31

Race 10 - Flemington R8

1st - 5 Yulong Prince W-$11.10

2nd - 7 Cascadian Q-$85.30

Scr: 17-20

5 BLACKBOOKERS* (4th)

$1002.60

4 (x 2 Joker play) = 8 points

0 REAPERS (3rd)

$523.80

0 points

Cascadian wasn't paying enough to get the Reapers home but he came with a rush at the end and would have denied the Blackbookers a bonus point for a 4-1 margin had he got up but instead it was Dino who bagged a BB on the Waller winner to overtake Roland and give the Blackbookers a 5-zip result for a couple of bonus points which were doubled with their Joker play. Well done Dino and well done team ! Dino's win gave him Man of the Match mantle with Roland a modest  MVp for The Reapers.

4 NO EYE DEER (2nd)

$1111.80

Buffalo River gave Pumped a big hope to pull off the win but faded in the straight so No Eye Deer clock up another win with a bonus point for a 4-1 margin. No one tipped the final winner. Gordy was a dominant Man of the Match for the victors while Rees - Pumped's only winner - was his team's MVP.

52.00 Blind Squirrel

145.00 Ashoka

171.00 Rees

70.40 Porky

52.00 Moose

4 MAXISQUILLIONS (8th)

$1045.40

Max beat Pam in their countback with Fifty Stars finishing ahead of Pam's pair so Daylight couldn't win it in the last where they missed for the 7th time today. If they hadn't played the Joker I would almost believe they threw the match ! Graeme crowned his Man of the Match title with the winner in the Cantala while Ian - Daylight's only winner - was his side's MVP. The Maxis took a bonus point for a 4-1 margin and remain in contention for a Finals berth.

77.00 The Crucible

226.40 Georgy Boy

0.00 John

501.00 Graeme

43.00 Pam

43.00 Max (on countback)

0.00 Ray

137.00 Rob

138.00 Heather

2 SUPERIORS (5th)

$1676.40

2 points

3 TOO FAST (7th)

$1015.00

2 points

The Superiors had three good chances to win it in the last but Rock's 3rd was the closest they got so Too Fast held on for a much-needed win. Geoff found the final winner to claim Too Fast MVP honours while Pete was a magnificent Match Star chased hard by Sharne who bagged a beaut BB in the last. The Superiors were well consoled with bonus points for a "superior" aggregate and a team profit.

719.40 Pete

0.00 Howie

0.00 Mardy

197.00 Rex

241.00 Punter Pete

312.00 Gee

162.00 Steve P

325.00 Geoff

554.00 Sharne

181.00 Robert

* Joker play

Table after Round 13

1st 30 No Eye Deer $15,832.80

2nd 30 Daylight* $14,498.60

3rd 28 Blackbookers* $14,463.00

----assured of a Finals Berth above this line......

4th 23 Reapers* $12,596.80

5th 21 Superiors* $15,443.40

------ Finals Qual Mark------------

6th 19 Too Fast $15,429.60

7th 18 Pumped* $12,524.20

8th 17 Maxisquillions $14,482.00

Daylight had the day from hell today and not only lost but lost the lead as No Eye Deer marched into the top spot (by aggregate only) with their win. The Blackbookers' successful Joker play took them up a place to 3rd and these 3 sides look to fight out the Minor Premiership on Tuesday. The Reapers lost and fell back a place while The Superiors lost also but took two bonus points and that is their buffer now with one round to play from the aspirants outside the Finals berths, headed by Too Fast who won today and moved up a place dropping Pumped back to 7th while the Maxis also won and like Too Fast, have a Joker to play on Tuesday.

PJ. You have No Eye Deer down to play twice in the match ups. Or more to the point their names come up twice. Against Too Fast and Maxisquiilions.

Cheers.

thanks Rees, was having a kind of mini migraine and should have left it to the morning. Fixed now. What a strange error to make. Duh

Apologies to my team. Been a long few days since my boy graced us with his presence at around 10pm on Thursday night. So needless to say the last few days have been long and a bit of a blur.Still in hospital at the moment, with trying to get a couple of things sorted out.I'll try and post something for Tuesday but again will have to see how things go.But fair to say at the moment, fatherhood is going well.
