after 2 rounds, only 9 undefeated players...and none of them playing each other this Sat. Maxi is very concerned for PAM who is drawn to play GEORGY BOY ..he finished a Magnificent 2nd in the Autumn comp on debut but has been largely AWOL first 2 rounds this time in. Word is, he has had a session or three with Nurse Gladys Emmanuel to help buck his ideas up ...

No disrespect to the 'Pumped' organisation ....but giving an advance notice that 'Too Fast' will be playing it's Joker this coming Saturday.
It's just that we've had a goilden run the first couple of weeks of the comp, and we're aiming to maximise our points whilst lady luck is being kind to us, cos we all know that lady luck is fickle and in the blink of an eye could be gone. There one minute, gone the next.
So just hoping that we can stretch our run of good luck to a third week.
Soooooooo ....to our brilliant band of Too Fast-ers .....all leave cancelled, all hands on deck ! 😊

Have you forgotten our last meeting Howie where your joker went begging.

We are due to fire after getting bloused in the last ,two weeks running . Just saying.

It's your Joker, maybe invite him along to the team meeting and see what he thinks. 😜

Nurse Gladys Emmanuel may be available for short-term hire, Rees ...before and after Saturday

Rees (0/2-199.00/659.00) v Rex (1/1-2008.00/779.00)

Surely its weighted in my favour considering the odds of Rex bombing finally and me  finding my mojo finally. 60/40 to me. Hehe.

COMP race #10

Bookies Taking No Chances with Vanna Girl

She’s got the visitors’ draw – 11 of 11 – and is bringing interstate form to challenge the might of the Sydney stables, but odds assessors aren’t prepared to let Vanna Girl get under their guard in Saturday’s Gr3 Tramway Stakes (1400m). In what appears to be one of the most open feature races on Saturday’s star-studded Royal Randwick card, Vanna Girl ($5.00) will have a big cheer squad in Brisbane when she flies the flag for trainers Toby and Trent Edmonds after developing a huge reputation during the Queensland Winter Carnival. Only out of the first two once from 10 starts, the Husson mare is on a four-win streak, her most recent success coming in the Gr2 The Roses (1800m). Importantly, in both her last two starts she has ovecome poor marbles and so, while this is a superb field she is meeting, expect to see her rattling home with her customary strong finish. Marginal race favourite is Dreamforce in a field of genuine Group 1 talent.

Comp Race #6

Pike Rates Showmanship Best of Peters Raiders

William Pike, who worked his wizardry aboard Perfect Jewel in Caulfield’s Gr3 Cockram Stakes last weekend, now ventures to The Valley where he has two rides rides after three at Ballarat on Thursday. As reported by thewest.com.au, Pike believes Showmanship is the most promising of the half dozen high class horses trainers Grant and Alana Williams have brought across from WA for Peters Investments. That’s backed up by a concomitant formline, with the kiwi-bred son of Showcasing chasing his sixth triumph in a row after a comfortable half-length win at Caulfield three weeks ago. Pike waxed lyrical, “I’ve said all along he’s the one I’m probably most excited about coming over to ride. He’s just an exciting horse, hopefully with the world at his feet.” Drawn barrier three for the Listed Bendigo Bank Stakes (1200m), Pike says being close to the rail should help Showmanship who is versatile enough not to be dropped back. The popular jockey was to have ridden stablemate Regal Power in the Gr2 Feehan Stakes, however the All-Star Mile hero is suffering from a lung infection, has been scratched and will fly back to Perth.
