Poised for a fantastic finish to the comp round robin stage with only The Blues assured of a finals berth. The Lazarus-like Ferdies have the toughest task taking on the comps big guns but are finding form at the right time.

The Hurricanes and Kauri Kats clash in a match that is bound to generate a record number of words for a Super Comp clash with scores to settle and points to prove. Remember it's a team game people !

The double-header Joker clash sees the Chiefs and Turbos meet head on with both sides just outside the qualification zone so expect no quarter to be given here.

4th-placed Crusaders will be sitting ducks unless they can generate 2 or 3 points to save their bacon from their ghost encounter with ????

Basically if your team (excluding the Blues) fails to score points on Saturday then you will most likely miss out on the Finals. No pressure people....

Happy to score again on Saturday if no other takers.

Thank you very much for offering to score again this coming Saturday, John.  ✔️

You do an absolutely brilliant job. Always.

My lack of technical "nouse" means I always struggle when I do the scoring, though I'm always happy to give it a go.

I'm relieved to see you stepping up again. Many thanks, John, a sentiment I'm sure is shared by everyone.

Let the games begin ! 😊

very noble of you, SNM, but is there any point (esp early on) when so much can change into the last two or three races. Make it easy on yourself and do it from, say, the 8th race. Just a suggestion form a poorly performed Mustelid who is always just off the pace. VvD is bound to disagree.

Agree entirely Peter.

Ironically this is at the heart of the tension.
One team thinks “team game” means chatting to each other and sharing thoughts/tips, while one individual thinks “team game” means unilateral decision making and no correspondence should be entered into 🙂

All adds a bit of interest to the comp.

Happy to score again on Saturday if no other takers.

Swap the word 'unilateral' for INDEPENDENT and I can agree...yep, it's a team game with just 3 of 5 INDIVIDUAL wins required to win the TEAM contest any week. BUT now we have a ONE OFF SCENARIO ...2 Comp pts ain't enough to guarantee the playoffs in most cases, so how does a team wanting to qualify score enuf pts?

This Mustelid has a Kunning Kauri Kats (KKK) plan that, if it works, will propel said Puddytats into the playoffs. But be assured it doesn't involve team chats, videos or conferences. It will involve, however, a lot of WINNERS.
Jen, Sharne, Rocky, Foxy One and I will label them, but you wont know who they are til it's too late, baby (cue Carole King)

early start for cricket, then to a memorial match in Palmy then a formal dinner at Ohakea. Looking forward to sighting a great Turbo result on sunday morning.

Good luck Jack.

Lets go Turbo's - any scratchings please replace skipper

I have 2 in tomorrow - Socialights wins and trotter Bacardi Pride could run a beaut at huge odds.

Good morning, folks.

Very interesting day ahead in the comp, as teams scramble to secure a place in the Chamionship Round play-offs. Mighty Blues are already fortunate enough to have secured their spot in the next round, but will nevertheless be going 'full-out' today  for a win against the Ferdies in order to take out  Minor Premiership honours, and secondly to maintain their record of scoring at least one point in every match played in round-robin.

I've decided that these superstars will do the job for me today :-

  • R1)             4x7
  • R2)             1x3         Best Bet NZ
  • R3)             1x2
  • R4)             1x6
  • R5)             5x11
  • R6)             1x8         Best Bet Aus
  • R7)             2x6
  • R8)             2x4
  • R9)             3x10
  • R10)           5x9

All the very best of luck today to my fellow Mighty Blues alumni -  Gordy, Pete, Geoff and the red-hot, right in form Roland. Let's bring it home today fellas.  ✔️

I hope that my Ferdies opponent Zac gets amongst the winners at some stage today as well, without getting too carried away. Overall form in the comp not so great, but as we all know they are the dangerous ones, the ones you never saw coming.

Thank you very much for stepping up to do the scoring and commentating again today, John. You're a champion !   👍

I hope you all enjoy your racing today, everyone.
