Wrinkles
Dear Jen, Young Lady , you put in a wonderful Tipping Effort Today for your Team Kauri Kats. Well done Jennifer ! It was wonderful to get my Tipping Total of $1,139.00 for my Fellow Team Magpies Mates today. I have a (2)Two Angus Calves bet with Zac that The Unpredictable Magpie's will finish higher on The PWJ Tipping Table Competition End than The Ferdies. I better head off and start the BBQ for Zac to cook us all King Prawns Tonight . To PWJ , Hesi and Pete , thank you all for the fun you allow us to have each Saturday Afternoon during this Corona - 19 Virus. With my very Best Thanks and Wishes , God Bless.

brown fox
Well done Magpies.Plenty of close races but your Wrinkly far better than this Wrinkly. Thought I was pretty smart getting 50% of first quaddie at Randwick but it paled to what I would have got with Zaaki finishing his.Stopped some hot favs before but this was a record.🤔

PWJ
Round 3 - Saturday October 9 Race 10 - Caulfield R101st - 5 Delphi W-$2.00 2nd - 1 The Chosen One Q-$8.30 Scr: 2(L),7,8 Subs: #5 then #11 1 SWAMP FOXES (1st) $696.40 0 points 4 HIGHLANDERS (5th) $846.80 3 points Tooradin bowling along in front gave the Swamp Foxes some hope but soon faded dashing their chances although Rees (with a BB) and Richie added to their aggregate in the last while VS subbed onto the winner with a BB to defeat Happy. The Highlanders however finished with a flourish with Rex snagging a vital quinella to reel in Richie in the last handing the Otago boys - for whom Rusty also scored - a 4-1 win and the attendant bonus point ! Richie was Swampies MVP and unlucky to draw Man of the Match Rex in what was a very close contest until the last. Apologies for the initial scoring error. 189.40 Von Smallhausen 168.00 Happy 129.40 Richie 233.40 Rex 74.00 Robert 103.00 Craig 124.00 Maria 198.40 Rusty 90.00 Rees 124.00 Mardy 3 CHIEFS (3rd) $627.60 2 points 2 BLUES (4th) $1294.00 1 point The Chosen One tried hard to pull off what would have been a 4-1 reversal for the Blues but found the winner - selected by all but Pete and Chiefs duo Gee and Ian - too good. Jack, Stevie and Howie added BBs while Punter Pete and Gordy snagged the quinella and Geoff bagged a beaut BB quinella as The Chiefs hung on to win with Jack - bagging 6 winners - their MVP. Roland was a very impressive Man of the Match with a big score. The Blues took a bonus point for a superior aggregate - more than twice that of the winners ! 295.00 Jack 161.60 Geoff 122.00 Stevie N 86.60 Gordy 0.00 Gee 153.00 Pete 29.00 Ian 752.80 Roland 181.60 Punter Pete 140.00 Howie 4 FERDIES (8th) $1296.80 3 points 1 TURBOS (2nd) $890.20 0 points Billy Egan on Defibrillate rode a cunning race but couldn't get The Turbos home despite taking the shortest route so the Ferdies held on for a much-needed win. The Chosen One's last burst almost gave them a 5-zip result ! All bar Ziggy tipped the winning fave in the last with BBs landed by Tom, Steve, The Squirrel, Ray and PJ while Maurice and Heather snagged beaut BB quinellas to get the Ferdies close to a team profit but not close enough. Ray was Turbos MVP and unlucky to draw Man of the Match - PJ. The Ferdies took a bonus point for the 4-1 margin. Good effort team ! 312.60 Heather 114.00 Blind Squirrel 209.60 Maurice 223.00 Gary 183.00 Tom 157.40 Steve P 367.80 PJ 261.00 Ray 223.80 Zac 134.80 Ziggy 1 KAURI KATS (7th) $1310.80 0 points 4 MAGPIES (6th) $1822.60 4 points The Kats suffered an agonising finish to the day with their winning chance The Chosen One missing out by a length after a terrific run and then they drew a blank in the last leaving them less than $10 shy of a team profit ! Hesi and Wrinkles bagged BBs in the last while Roger snagged the quinella as The Magpies took bonus points for a 4-1 margin and team profit, thanks hugely to a massive performance from Wrinkles who left Kats MVP Jen with what must be sadly a record highest losing score ! 728.40 Jen 1179.00 Wrinkles 295.60 Sharne 98.00 Rob 53.00 Max 193.00 Hesi 114.40 Pam 119.00 Porky 119.40 Graeme 233.60 Blazes TABLE after ROUND 3 1st 6 CHIEFS $4001.00 2nd 6 MAGPIES $3577.00 3rd 6 HIGHLANDERS $2655.80 4th 5 TURBOS $2927.80 5th 5 SWAMP FOXES $2794.40 6th 4 BLUES $3414.00 7th 3 FERDIES $2745.20 8th 2 KAURI KATS $2959.20 With the top two sides losing and the bottom team winning the table has taken on a fairly compressed look with just 4 points separating first and last. Defeat for the Swamp Foxes saw them tumble 4 places while The Turbos' defeat cost them a couple of slots. The Highlanders big win sweeps them sweeps them up two places while The Chiefs narrow victory propels them into the lead. The other big movers were the Magpies gaining 4 positions with their victory over the Kauri Kats who slip down a spot into the cellar, recently vacated by The Ferdies who climb one spot thanks to their win today. The Blues slipped two places in defeat also but the comp is wide open at present.

Funnily enough, 2 days ago a horse ran 2nd in the uk at 1.15 (1.20 on betfair). If they all won, you'd just back them and the returns would be massively better than bank interest. They just don't all win.

Hesi
Nice performance Pies, on top of defending the shield also. Could have gone either way with The Chosen One. Thanks for the match Maxis, well played Astounding score Wrinkly, well done, would have beaten quite a few teams on your own today. That's a record easily for this round, and possibly the best score in a long while. Thanks as always PJ for another great days enjoyment for so many people
