PWJ Posted July 1, 2023 Share Posted July 1, 2023 Just a heads-up for the Spring NPC Super Comp. The Spring NPC Super Comp will commence on Saturday August 5. N.B.The Lucky 7 Grand Final will be held on July 29. It will consist of 8 teams and will run as a round-robin for the first 14 weeks after which the Top 4 teams will compete in a Finals Series on Nov 7 (Melbourne Cup Day) & Nov 11. The bottom 4 Teams will also have a Presidents Finals Series on those dates. It's important that sometime in the next week you indicate if you: a) wish to participate in the Spring Comp b) wish to stay in your team from last time or seek a change If you didn't play in the last NPC comp please feel free to join and if you have a team preference, please state. The format will be the same as for the recent Super comps with just one Rule Change. The leading team will be able to play their Triple Joker against one of them 3 teams immediately below them in Round 7 and Round 14 if they have not already done so. The double and triple Jokers can only be played in Rounds 1-7, and then 8-14 as usual. I will run a poll once the teams are finalized as to whether you want a closed selection thread as we have had for the past couple of years or go to a permanently open selection thread. Slight change. I said earlier that the posting thread will be open permanently but there will be a restriction of at least 6 different picks (of 20) for those who post after their opponent Lastly we will need 8 Captains to helm these 8 great franchises. Think about making the small but important commitment to Captaincy. Any questions please ask.
