The very first ever Miracle Mile winner in the 60's starts off a list of 45 Champions for that great race , ROBIN DUNDEE taking the first edition of the famous race, for Robert Cameron in 1967. The poor darling couldn't get a NZ Cup, as had 3 x seconds in that race, (behind CardiganBay, Lordship and Garry Dillon) This bloke could though !!!! no doubt at the top of Globes favourites (and many others) Racing with-out hopples on the legs is only achieved by freakish horses that are very rare indeed. The late DD Nyhan, who passed away recently , seen here with the Champion. Think we all know this R for Ripper ??? Yep, Robalan.

Lightning Blue
While the 'old' boys work out with the trotter above..... Here's one for the younger players. Come in Karrots ?? This bloke was a Horse of the Year in NZ , with 14 from 14 one season as a 4 yearold. Thankfully taking no serious 'issues' out of the NZ DERBY crash as a 3 yearold, where he was prone on the track for more than 10 minutes at the Addington winning post after the massive pile-up. On the money Karrots ... Royden Glen coming from Royden Lodge , one of NZ 's most famous standardbred nurseries. Type in "NZ Derby Pile up" , then put on your seat-belt and go on a Wild Ride.

PWJ
Here's a tricky one for you starting with the letter "A"- Foaled at Dunsandel (a destination for me on my training runs in my days at Burnham) in Canterbury he went on to win more than 20 races despite his granddam being purchased to pull an egg cart ! Bonus points for naming the driver and track

How did that happen re Lyell Creek ended up being a trotter? Was there trotting blood further back in dam side?

PWJ
This one may be easier. Despite quite possibly the worst posed stallion shot ever in NZ Harness history this stallion went on to sire one of the greats of the 70s and 80s. Stood at Pukekohe
